Crabby Larry’s Brew Pub, Steak and Crab House was formerly known as Jones Family Seafood Restaurant.  There simply aren’t many independently owned seafood restaurants outside Philadelphia, but Jones stands out.  The fish is fresh every day.  They prep it the way any good seafood restaurant would (broiled, blackened, char grilled, lemon butter/garlic – however you like).

The menu is EXTENSIVE.  Usually about a half dozen dozen different kind of fish (flounder, marlin, tuna, catfish, salmon, and one of my faves Hawaiian butterfish are some standards), all kinds of shellfish:  scallops, shrimp, clams, oysters, lobster and those famous crabs. (more…)

UPDATE *** This restaurant closed in October 2010 ***

There had been a lot of chatter about Cravings Cafe, the restaurant and bar and takeout and coffee joint that can’t quite decide what it wants to be when it grows up that opened near the Pennbrook Train Station in Lansdale/Upper Gwynedd/North Wales. Aside from inspiring run-on sentences, it also inspired my taste buds.
